About Your Teacher
Hello, I am Thomas Rezendes and I am from California. I have been living in Japan for over half of my life (since 1993), and so I have been teaching English for the same amount of time. I have taught English at AEON in Suwa, Nagano and Kokubunji, Tokyo. I then started working for Berlitz when I moved to Yokohama in 2002. I had taught at the Berlitz Aobadai Language Center for 5 years and 5 months when I moved to Haramura, Nagano in August, 2007. I then had taught for Berlitz Virtual Classroom from August, 2007 until May, 2022. I started to get students to join me in my own school as early as October, 2021. I rebranded my company as MOTIZON (English Language Services) at the end of October, 2022.
こんにちは、私はトーマス・レゼンデス、カリフォルニア州出身です。私は人生の半分以上（1993年から）日本に住んでいるので、同じ時間、英語を教えています。長野県諏訪市と東京都国分寺市のAEONで英語を教えたことがあります。その後、2002年に横浜に引っ越してきてから、ベルリッツで働き始めました。2007年8月に長野県原村に引っ越した際、Berlitz青葉台ランゲージセンターで5年5ヶ月間教壇に立ちました。その後、2007年8月から2022年5月まで、ベルリッツ・バーチャルクラスルームで講師を務めました。2021年10月には早くも自分のスクールで生徒を集めるようになりました。2022年10月末にMOTIZON（英会話サービス）にリブランディングしました。
Mission / ミッション
My purpose and the namesake of my company is to motivate my students to reach their horizons. We all have our own paths in life, but we all have some sort of goal (horizon) that we strive to achieve. My mission is to help you realize your motivation, your horizon(s) and help you achieve them!
私の目的、そして社名の由来は、生徒たちが自分の地平線に到達するよう動機づけることです。私たちの人生にはそれぞれの道がありますが、誰もが何かしらの目標（ホライズン）を持って努力しているはずです。私の使命は、あなたが自分のモチベーション、地平線に気づき、それを達成するお手伝いをすることです。
Lesson Style
My lessons are very adaptive with the purpose of focusing on what you need to meet your current English language needs. I have a passion for teaching English and enjoy my lessons with all of you. I always take notes using a Word file and send it to you after each lesson. Using Zoom, you can record your lessons (recommended) and use the Word file and recording for your review. I believe in making my lessons interesting and relevant to your life.
私のレッスンは、あなたの現在の英語のニーズに合わせて、必要なものに焦点を当てるという目的で、とても適応的です。私は英語を教えることに情熱を持っており、皆さんとのレッスンを楽しんでいます。私はいつもWordファイルを使ってメモを取り、各レッスン後にそれをあなたに送ります。Zoomを使ってレッスンを録画し（推奨）、復習のためにWordファイルと録画を使用することができます。私のレッスンは面白く、あなたの生活に関連したものにすることが大切だと考えています。
